These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MacroCheck AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

MacroCheck AI helps you track nutrition, weight, and related wellness data. Some features require a paid subscription ("MacroCheck Pro" or similar branding shown in the App).

2. Not medical advice

The App provides general wellness and nutrition tracking tools. Content, targets, and AI-generated estimates are approximate and for informational purposes only. The App is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and activity under your account. You must provide accurate profile information and keep it reasonably up to date.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Premium features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play or App Store account settings.
• Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App at purchase time.
• Free trials or introductory offers, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Use Restore Purchases in the App to sync an existing subscription on a new device signed into the same store account.

Refunds are handled according to Google Play or Apple policies. We do not process store refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the App or its APIs.
• Upload content you do not have rights to use.
• Circumvent subscription or access controls.

6. AI features

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing logged nutrition data before relying on it. Do not use AI features for emergency or clinical decisions.

7. Intellectual property

The App, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ACCURATE NUTRITION DATA OR UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance.
