You can remove some or all of your nutrition data without deleting your MacroCheck AI login. Your account stays active unless you choose full account deletion (separate process).

Option 1 — Manage Storage (recommended)

Use Manage Storage to bulk-delete meal photos and/or food logs by age. This is the main self-service tool for freeing space and removing old records.

How to open it

1. Open MacroCheck AI and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).
3. Tap Settings.
4. Under Data & Storage, tap Manage Storage.

What you can delete

• Only photos (keep meal logs): Removes meal images stored on your device. Calorie and macro entries stay in your diary.
• Entire meals & photos: Deletes matching food log entries from the cloud and removes linked photos on your device.

Time range

Choose how far back cleanup applies:

• Older than 1 month
• Older than 3 months
• Older than 1 year
• All time (everything matching your selection)
• Custom date range

Tap Clean Up Storage, confirm, and the selected data is permanently removed. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Delete individual meals

On Home or Diary, open a meal and delete a single food entry. Useful for correcting one item without bulk cleanup.

Export your data first (optional)

From Settings → Manage Storage, tap Export Data as JSON to save a copy of your profile, logs, weight history, and custom foods before deleting anything.

Free plan: 7-day diary view & deleting older data

Free users have a rolling 7-calendar-day window in the Diary tab for browsing recent days. Important details:

• Viewing vs storing: The Diary strip shows the last 7 days (today plus the previous 6). Older logs may still exist in your cloud account even when they are not shown in that strip.
• Not auto-deleted: MacroCheck AI does not automatically erase your data when it falls outside the 7-day view. Data remains until you delete it or delete your account.
• How free users remove old data: Open Manage Storage, choose Entire Meals & Photos (or photos only), pick a time range such as Older than 1 month, All time, or a custom range, then run Clean Up Storage.
• Progress charts: Free users see up to 7 days of progress charts. Longer ranges require MacroCheck Pro.
• Meal logging: Free users can save up to 5 meal logs per calendar day (each save counts as one log, regardless of how many food items are inside it).
• MacroCheck Pro: Unlocks full diary history browsing, longer progress ranges, unlimited daily meal logs, and AI Coach. Upgrading does not delete existing data.

Example: You used the app for 3 months on the free plan. Days older than 7 may not appear in the Diary day strip, but the meals may still be stored. Use Manage Storage with “Older than 3 months” or “All time” to remove them without closing your account.

What is kept when you delete data (not your account)

• Your login (email or Google sign-in)
• Your profile and goals (unless you delete related log data manually)
• Active Google Play subscription (manage separately in Play Store)
• Entries you do not include in the cleanup time range or type you selected

What is removed

• Meal photos on your device (when “Only photos” or “Entire meals” is selected)
• Food log entries in Firebase for the chosen range (when “Entire meals & photos” is selected)
• Linked daily summary fields updated when meals are removed

Weight logs, coach memory, and profile settings are not removed by Manage Storage unless you delete your full account.

Option 3 — Without the app

If you uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us from the address on your account:

Subject: Delete my MacroCheck AI data

Include:

• What to delete (e.g. all meal logs, photos only, specific date range)
• Whether to keep or delete your account

We may verify your identity before processing. Requests are handled within 7 business days.

Full account deletion

To remove your login and all cloud data, use Delete your account (Profile → Delete account in the app).
